Bridgets Ambition, or ‘Bleep’ to her friends,
is a 15 year old Connemara, New Forest cross, competition pony,
who competes very successfully in pony club and riding club events at both local and national level. Her very favourite thing
is cross country!
Emma started working with Bleep in June 2004. She had been
recently purchased by her current owners, and had been under the care of their vets, Tyrrell’s Equine Clinic, for problems
with her right shoulder. The vet suggested that Bleep may benefit from some massage, and so Emma was asked to come and help.
When Emma first started working with Bleep she had a very short stride length with both forelegs, and had ongoing problems
with her right shoulder. She had exceptional movement and was able to look like she was working properly, when really she
was very tight through the forehand. By using massage and ground work exercises to lighten Bleep’s forehand and careful
attention to changes in her posture, and musculature, Bleep’s stride improved and her shoulder problem became less frequent.
With regular massage and acupressure, carefully tailored to Bleep’s competition schedule, and continued throughout the
year to ensure maximum muscular health, she has continued to win.
Some of Bleep’s achievements are;
